Personal:

Married to Peggy June; three grown sons; four grandsons; three granddaughters; one small dog. Enjoys pedestrian exercise, formerly running (up to and including marathons) and jogging, presently walking. Resident of Shelter Cove since 1993.

Professional:

Began teaching in a self-contained (all subjects) elementary school class in 1957; transferred to secondary schools in 1960 and taught history and social science; joined the faculty of Moorpark College in 1967 and taught history, geography, and political science until 1972; accepted a full-time administrative position, division director; moved up the ranks of various dean positions until transferred to Oxnard College in 1982 and served as vice president, executive vice president and president of that college until 1991; returned to Moorpark College as president and retired in 1992.

Public Service:

Ventura County General Plan Update Advisory Committee, 1975-76; Ventura County Urban Services Project Advisory Committee, 1976-80; Rancho Las Posas Water District Board of Directors, 1979-82; City of Oxnard Economic Development Committee, 1987-91; City of Simi Valley Economic Development Commission, 1991-92; President, Shelter Cove Property Owners Association, 1994-1997; Resort Improvement District Board of Directors, 1997-2005.
