Too many us have to travel to other distant parts of town or even other cities to shop or even just enjoy a day off. The neighborhood has plenty of discount stores, but where are the coffee houses and unique shops that make communities vibrant and livable? On the City Council I will work with the business community to bring more shopping and leisure choices to the District. I will work with the mayor and the council to cut unnecessary bureaucratic red tape and create incentives so high profile businesses will come to the district. At the same time I will provide assistance to existing local businesses so they will continue to thrive in the Berryessa neighborhood. |
