The Los Angeles Community Colleges are dedicated to the goal of expanding access to educational opportunities for the diverse communities served the the college district.

The colleges must prepare students for successful careers, for transfer to four year universities, and for the improvement of essential life and workplace skills, and for civic engagement in life-long learning.

I vow to continue to be a catalyst for change; I will continue to work hard with faculty and staff of the nine colleges in the LACCD as they follow their established guiding principles to provide excellent intitutions of higher learning to our diverser populations.
