1. The American occupation in Iraq continues to be enormously costly in dollars and in lives. What is your position on how our government should proceed?
I voted against the war + support the Murtha position on withdrawl.2. What is your impression of the roll-out of the Medicare Prescription Drug program so far, and what changes would you propose to make it better?
It was/is extremely confusing + limited. Much needs to be done to make is more user-friendly + to expand it to be a real prescription coverage plan.3. Where do you stand on the current balance between security and civil rights?
I have been a House leader, as the ranking Democrat on the Constitution Subcommittee, working to change the most pernious parts of the Patriot Act (which I voted against originally). I also support scan 100% of cargo ships + speeding up the buyback of nuclear materials, as examples of
