Lieutenant Governor; State of New York Voter Information

4 Year Term. Salary: $151,500

The Lieutenant Governor helps the Governor to implement statewide policies and projects. In the event the Governor is removed from or leaves office, the Lieutenant Governor serves as Governor. The Lieutenant Governor serves as President of the Senate. Lieutenant Governor is not listed separately on the ballot. When your vote is cast for Governor, you will be voting for that candidates running mate as well.
