Personal History & Public Service Pat Paul was born and raised in Washington D.C, where she attended local schools. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University in Greenville North Carolina, in 1965. Pat received her Masters degree from Adelphi University, Long Island, New York, in 1972. In 1976 she obtained her Administration credential from California State University, Stanislaus. Professional Experience 1965 + 1967 Teacher at John F. Kennedy High School in Rockville, Maryland 1967-1975 Teacher for the U.S. Department of Defense. Assignments included countries of Germany and Turkey 1974 + 1975 Teacher at the American School of Barcelona 1975 + 1978 Substitute Teacher at Oakdale High School and Modesto City Schools 1978 + 1980 Executive director of the Stanislaus/San Joaquin Campfire, Inc. 1978 + 1983 Part-time Instructor at Modesto Junior College 1980-1981 Stanislaus Country Ride-Sharing Manager 1981-1983 Instructor at Modesto Junior College 1983 + 2003 Teacher at Beyer High School Elective Government Service 1980 + 1988 City Council member for City of Oakdale 1982 Vice-Mayor, City of Oakdale 1989 + 2004 Elected to Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors.
