I will work to ensure the funding necessary to increase the levels of our currently understaffed police and firefighter ranks. As a former firefighter and EMT, I have a deep understanding of the important role public safety plays in our communities. Police and firefighters not only fight crime and fires. They provide support to neighborhood associations, act as role models for our youth and are deeply involved in community activities. Our public safety programs earn our support every day. We must demand the funding necessary to ensure world class police and fire services locally. |
