Like most people in this district, I am fiscally conservative and socially progressive. America was founded on the simple notion that we all have the right to live as equals, and to control our own lives, liberty, and property as we see fit (as long as we don't infringe on the rights of others to do the same). So why is it that both of the major political parties seem to have forgotten this? Democrats and Republicans alike seem to be in a race to see who can grow the largest government and to see which party can best impose its morality on you. The Libertarian party stands alone saying that you, not the government, should be in charge of your life. In America, we urgently need:
