Like you, I'm frustrated with the Bush Administration's attacks on our environment, civil liberties, and public education. State government is our last line of defense.

That's why I'm running for Assembly -- to bring bold and effective leadership to Sacramento and protect the values we hold dear.

I'm uniquely qualified to meet this challenge. I'm a Senior Attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), one of America's leading environmental organizations, and an elected official with over 11 years governing one of our region's largest water districts. I've fought race and gender discrimination as a civil rights attorney and won landmark victories for women under Title IX.

In the Assembly, I'll fight to protect our environment and civil rights; to replace our failed healthcare system with a single-payer system that reduces costs and covers everyone; to increase school funding; and to make California a world leader in clean technologies to address the threat of global warming before it is too late.

I'm endorsed by leading education advocates including the California Teachers Association; the California League of Conservation Voters and other environmental groups; and elected officials and community leaders throughout the North Bay. For details, see http://www.jaredhuffman.com.

I respectfully ask for your vote.
