As Mayor of Cerritos, I have a proven record in public safety. I increased the sheriff presence neighborhoods and created innovative ways for citizens to help protect their own streets. In Sacramento, I will fight to ensure State and local peace officers are the best equipped in the nation. I know that public safety doesn't just mean safe neighborhoods, it means protecting our citizens from Internet predators. This is why I will fight for legislation that enhances penalties for those who commit identity theft and increase the punishment for online predators who prey on children. I will work hard to make both real and virtual palygrounds places where our children can learn, have fun, and explore their imagination in a safe environment. |
