Statement of QualificationsBy Jason HigashiCandidate for Board Member; Windsor Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
As stated in Voter's Pamphlet - English VersionAs a resident of Windsor since 1997, I am committed to supporting our students and our community. My wife and I have two children in the WUSD. I have served as a member of the Superintendent's Finance Advisory Committee (SFAC), past president of the Sonoma County Japanese American Citizens League, past commissioner of the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights, and volunteer for Our Lady of Guadalupe CYO, Sonoma County Family YMCA, Windsor Little League, and various school sites. I believe I have the experience to continue working with our community. Together we can work to combine our strengths to keep our district moving forward and better prepare our students to be productive citizens. As a member of the SFAC, I worked with the Superintendent to maximize resources, ensure accountability, and maintain an efficient structure for the district. I feel these key elements are necessary to continue the positive momentum our district has enjoyed these last few years. A strong, successful school district gives rise to a stronger community. I believe our district is moving forward in the right direction. My committment to you is to promote a board that works as a team for all your children. Thank you for your consideration. |
