Candidate StatementBy Sandra L. "Sandy" DobbinsCandidate for Board Member; Windsor Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
My qualifications as presented in the Voter's PamphletYou may know me already through my work volunteering in my children's classrooms, or from watching a Board meeting on Channel 27, twice monthly. In 2002, I was appointed as an Interim Member to the Board of Trustees then was subsequently elected to serve a four-year term. Since then, I've served on the construction and policy subcommittees and Cali's re-chartering subcommittee. I'm currently Board liaison to PTA, after first serving as representative to Windsor Educational Foundation. I was a founding member of WUSD's Budget Advisory Committee, served on Windsor Creek's site council, and was honored as a PTA Volunteer of the Year. I have two wonderful daughters; one at WMS and one at WCE. My husband teaches high school, and we've lived in this community over sixteen years. I work full-time for an investment firm, primarily handling the accounting through full financials statements, and managing all construction-related work. Our students require and deserve someone who is informed, focused, and utterly committed to making Windsor Unified the best place possible for our children's education. Armed with substantial knowledge of our District's challenges and strengths, I'd be honored to represent this incredible District for four more years. |
