Candidate for
Council Member; City of Sonoma

As your council representative I have worked successfully to build financial security, provide additional water storage, responsiveness to constituents, protection of the UGB, maintained rent control for seniors in Mobile Homes, removed use of toxic materials on city property, created additional workforce housing, and supported formation of the Traffic Safety Committee.

If reelected, I will continue my work to encourage economic, social and cultural diversity, attract sustainable businesses, lower the GMO to slow growth, implement effective traffic, bicycle and pedestrian plans, and the acquisition of open space.

As a father and grandfather I feel assuring public safety and increased recreational opportunities for our community's children needs to be a high priority.

I am committed to Sonoma, serving as Mayor in 2001 and council member since 1998. My community involvement also has included: member VFW post 1947; President, Sonoma Community Center; Chairman, Cultural and Fine Arts Commission; Steering Committee, Sonoma Valley Healthcare Coalition; Mentor, Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance; and President, Sonoma Sister Cities Association.

Sonoma's future depends upon experienced, responsible and dedicated leaders who with involved citizens work together to provide a safe, healthy, clean and prosperous place to live, work and raise a family. l ask for your vote.
