Jeffrey Tong is not a career politician, but someone who cares very much about our community - our seniors, our families, and our children!

A fourth generation Bay Area resident, Jeffrey has lived in the Peninsula for almost 40 years. He was educated in public schools, and earned a degree in environmental planning and policy analysis because he felt an obligation to be a good steward of the land. He believed that the quality of our lives depended upon the quality of our environment. As a policy analyst, Jeffrey evaluated the potential consequences of many real estate developments, and eventually studied commercial real estate finance to speak the language of his clients and become a more effective negotiator. He served as an assistant manager for Mellon Bank, and as a senior real estate tax analyst for the former Arthur Andersen CPA firm. He also served as an area governor for Toastmasters International, and conducted communication and leadership workshops for high school students.

Jeffrey supports our community as a member of the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce; volunteer for Habitat for Humanity; the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), San Mateo County; and the local Tax-Aid organization.

Jeffrey believes that we must collectively do our part to nurture the children within our community, for it is the children who will shape our future!
