While raising my three children, I experienced an amazing thing...a parent's heart. Parents are amazing because they can willingly sacrifice everything they have for the sake of their children. Understanding the nature of this selfless concern parents have for their children is essential for elected officials given the responsibility to guide and direct our public schools, because parents have the final say in where their children will be educated.

Parents see a good education as an essential tool in their children's pursuit of happiness. They hope it will help their chilren fully develop the precious, unique inner value they see lying dormant within. Every child is precious because every child has parents who love them unconditionally. This parent-child relationship should be the guiding principle of our philosophy of education and the focal point of the goal towards which the school board directs the San Frnacisco Unified School District.
