Katherine White will bring leadership for fiscal responsibility, honesty and integrity in business transactions, accountability and open communication with parents and staff while maintaining a focus on our children's education. Qualifications: As a senior executive in the telecommunications industry, Katherine White brings proven ability to lead large, diverse, highly-educated teams while maintaining prudent fiscal monitoring. Three Most Important Issues in this Race: Leadership Strong, capable leadership is required to make hard decisions affecting school attendance, legal actions and large capital expenditures to ensure positive outcomes. The school board needs to step up to this leadership challenge, rather than function as puppets to district staff. Open, Honest Communication Our community deserves honesty and openness from it's school board, with leadership that is responsive and available to parents, staff and the community. Adults should offer children a model for integrity and honesty. Accountability Our growing district requires a school board that makes thoughtful decisions to effectively use resources in a fiscally responsible manner. |
