Candidate for
Board Member; Dehesa School District

As Director of Education for the children of my community, I firmly believe success requires a team effort. I worked to create the "Mommy & Me" program, Pre-K School, And after-school tutorials, bringing positive impacts to children and parents alike. I was honored to receive the "Unsung Hero Award" for this work.

Our educational system must instill strong values and make students our top priority. My goal is to promote every student's success by emphasizing unity and teamwork at Dehesa.

My family has resided in the Dehesa Valley for many generations. Like many members of my large family, including my father and siblings, I am a Dehesa School graduate. I now have seven nieces and nephews who attend Dehesa, and will continue the tradition with my own children.

I have been very active in public education. Currently, I serve on Dehesa's Long Range Planning Committee and Education Specifications Subcommittee. I regularly attend board meetings, school site council meetings and parents club, and assisted in the effort to identify and analyze new social science book for the district, which the school board adopted.

I am committed to the success of all Dehesa students.
