This information is provided by the candidate |
Statement of candidacy: (No more than 30 words.) I want to address parents and taxpayers expectations to have a progressive learning school system producing young adults more than ready to face tomorrow's academic challenges, without increasing taxes. What qualifications, attributes or perspectives would you bring to this elected position that your opponent(s) would not? (No more than 30 words.) I will bring the perspective of a deeply involved parent, with a fresh open-minded outlook to the school system, with a decision-making process that places kids first. What are the three most important issues in this race? What would you do to address each one? (No more than 100 words combined.) 1. Higher academic achievement. I support a back-to-basics curriculum utilizing a challenging progressive learning system that infuses technology and prepares our children for the future. 2. Facility Improvements. Our facilities must be improved and expanded in order to provide a positive teaching environment. Our School Board Room must not be in better shape then our Class Rooms. 3. Fiscal & Educational Accountability. Tax dollars should be spent in the classroom, not on unnecessary bureaucrats and, excessive administrative costs. I will work to ensure every child has a certified and motivated teacher. I will request performance audits in order to measure our accountable to you. |
