Candidate for
Board Member; Moreland School District

My philosophy as a School Board Trustee is focused on continuous improvement in all areas of our school district. I see our district's greatest challenges as

improving academic achievement for all students at each of our schools through targeted intervention methods and honors classes;

attracting and retaining excellent teachers and staff with competitive compensation, innovative professional development, and a great work environment;

adopting a budget tied to goals that are focused on raising student achievement;

and expanding district-wide communication to students and parents, school neighbors and home owners, and teachers and support staff.

With significantly more state funding and a new superintendent, the Moreland School Board is poised to successfully address these issues. I am excited about the future of our district and look forward to working for all of our children's futures.
