Steve Tate's ballot staement.Two City Council terms preceded by two Planning Commission terms and 38 years in business qualify me to be your Mayor. I strive to be ethical, enthusiastic, and approachable. I listen and take a thoughtful, common-sense approach to issues. I am confident that I have gained the knowledge and developed the skills to provide the leadership Morgan Hill deserves. Morgan Hill is a great community. People enjoy living here and appreciate the many positive improvements provided by the city. My wife Jennifer and I are deeply involved in this community that we love and where we raised our two children. My priorities are enriching community values by valuing youth and seniors, enhancing downtown vibrancy, meeting recreational demands, and making living in Morgan Hill obtainable. My leadership would produce well-understood, prioritized objectives and responsibilities, thereby increasing City Council productivity. To achieve fiscal stability, I would responsibly implement our sustainable budget strategy, extend our redevelopment agency and increase suitable economic development. My emphasis on safety would bring an additional fire station and ensure adequate police staffing levels. I pledge to maintain positive momentum to keep Morgan Hill a great community with a superior quality of life. Please vote Steve Tate for Mayor. |
