The eight years that I have served our community on the City Council have been some of the most successful and productive in our city's history. Here's just some of what has been accomplished:

1) Strengthened our City's finances while adding needed public facilities by taking a long-term fiscal planning approach

2) Added new police officers to our middle school and more patrol officers for our neighborhoods

3) New Community and Cultural Center, including our first Gavilan College satellite campus and first community theater

4) Attracted key new businesses, including a new regional shopping center, the Bay Area's most successful Ford dealership, and a new Trader Joes (opening this fall)

5) Strengthened our downtown by providing incentives to businesses, approving the first new downtown housing developments in decades, and making major improvements to Depot Street

6) New Aquatics Center, including a 50 meter competition pool and full service two recreation pools

7) New Senior Center, Youth Center and Indoor Recreation Center opening this fall

8) New cost-effective police station built, and old police station turned back to the private sector

9) Morgan Hill's first new County Courthouse, which will bring hundreds of jobs and professionals to our downtown

If re-elected, I will work to:

1) Keep our finances strong by instituting economic development plans, reducing the size of our redevelopment agency, and maintaining our financial review processes

2) Use funds from our redevelopment extension to complete our downtown renaissance and leverage economic development

3) Build a new fire station to make sure we maintain rapid emergency response times

4) Complete needed recreation facilities and maintain funding sources to ensure our recreation facilities remain open to everyone in our community
