Ballot Statement

By Greg Sellers

Candidate for Council Member; City of Morgan Hill

This information is provided by the candidate
Here's the text of Greg's ballot statement that will be provided to all Morgan Hill voters
We've accomplished a lot in eight years. We've built an unprecedented number of new community facilities, including the aquatics center, community cultural center, police station, senior, youth and recreation center, and new library. We've resisted cookie-cutter development, but have successfully attracted needed businesses like Trader Joe's. We've kept our crime rate low while adding new officers to work with our schools. And, we've done it while building our reserves and greatly improving our city's financial strength. If re-elected, I will work to streamline our redevelopment agency and use future redevelopment funds to improve our downtown and encourage desirable economic development. I will work to improve our police and fire services to meet the future needs of our community. I will further regional partnerships to ensure Morgan Hill receives its fair share of services and is not negatively impacted by Coyote Valley development. And I will continue to make sure our city maintains its long-term financial health.
It has been a privilege to serve my hometown as Councilmember. I will continue to use my professional and academic skills to make smart, ethical, collaborative decisions to ensure Morgan Hill remains a great place to live, work and raise our families.
