As your representative I will:

  • Make each citizen feel they are a vital part of our community with a voice that will be heard.

  • Encourage common sense governance with calm, thoughtful and balanced decision-making.

  • Protect and improve the qualities that make Saratoga unique; our lovely hillsides, trees, parks, creeks, trails, rich history & diverse neighborhoods.

  • Adopt sound and responsible budgets that spend our taxpayers dollars wisely.

  • Work with schools and residents on traffic and safety issues.

  • Preserve our excellent law enforcement and fire services to ensure public safety.

  • Protect and improve senior services and programs.

  • Improve our emergency preparedness programs.

  • Assure citizens basic needs are met BEYOND EXPECTATIONS; public safety, utilities, street improvements and maintenance.

Some of my goals are to:

  • Continue efforts to get back our Tax Equalization Allocation (property tax that has been going to the county for the last 18 years, and should have been coming to the city), which will increase our General Funds over 10%.

  • Update the General Plan with neighborhood and professional input to be sure it fits the needs of the residents and protects our city.

  • Improve services from our city departments.

  • Aggressively seek funds, matching funds and grants from the county, state and federal government.

  • Move forward with the renovation of North Campus.

  • Continue to work with West Valley College and other locations for the use of their soccer fields, as to not disrupt neighborhoods.

  • Work for appropriate, affordable housing while maintaining our rural, low-density atmosphere.

  • Work on plans for the Saratoga to Sea Trail.

  • Work on plans to help revitalize Saratoga Village, the Gateway and Cox Avenue Business Districts.

  • Retain and protect Saratoga's commercial tax base required to fund essential city services and programs.

  • Protect our parks and the Heritage Orchard.

  • Improve our environmental programs to protect our beautiful natural resources.

  • Restore our city citizen commissions.

  • Involve and educate citizens on local issues.

  • Improve services from our city departments.

  • Explore options to reduce noise from Highway 85.
