Ballot Statement for Marby LeeBy Marby LeeCandidate for Council Member; City of Morgan Hill | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
My name is Marby Lee and I am a candidate for Morgan Hill City Council. I have been a resident of Morgan Hill for 10 years and have a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. As the mother of a toddler, daughter of an elderly parent and owner of a small business, I have a broad perspective on the needs of our community. I'm running on a platform of fiscal responsibility, common-sense leadership, and openness in government. We have wonderful facilities, but need to ensure that we can afford to run them. I am concerned that while the population of Morgan Hill continues to grow, the level of sworn police officers remains relatively flat. I'm running for office because I want to continue my efforts to make Morgan Hill a city we can be proud of. I worked to keep our library at the Civic Center, and was in charge of a fundraiser for Measures A&B + to keep library services at current levels, reopen county libraries on Mondays, and no layoffs for library employees. I am committed to making Morgan Hill a wonderful city to live in, and ask for your vote on November 7th. |
