1. What experience related to city government would you bring to the City Council?
Jane Kennedy has been a Campbell resident since 1972. She has served on the City Council since November 1998 for a 4-year term and was re-elected to the Council in November 2002 for another term. Also, she served as Mayor in 2000 and is again Mayor for 2005. Ms. Kennedy was selected "Citizen of the Year" by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce for the year 1991.Additionally:
- 16 years on the City's Planning Commission, serving as its Chairperson in 1982, 1991, and 1995
- Planning Commission Site and Architectural Review Committee - 1982, 1991, 1995
- Founding Member and President, Campbell Business Associates
- Founding member and Vice President of Women in Business for the Chamber of Commerce
- Former President of the Campbell Museum Foundation
- Former Chairperson of the City's Prune Festival
- Former Chairperson-Campbell Firefighters' Holiday Toy Program for the past 15 years
- Former Board Member, Campbell Chamber of Commerce
- San Tomas Neighborhood Task Force + 1980, 1996
- Downtown Streetscape Committee
- Valley Transportation Authority Board (Chairperson)
- Community Center Master Plan Committee
- Administration and Finance, Valley Transportation Agency, Chairperson - 2001-2002
