Education and Qualifications:

BS Finance, MBA, CPA; Former school district auditor; Parent

I appreciate the trust you placed in me when you chose me to serve on your school board. Working hard to keep that trust, I have made decisions with care, always focusing on how to improve our schools. I am proud of what our district has accomplished working together as a team during my service on this board. All of our schools have achieved API scores over 800 and been named California Distinguished Schools. An ambitious district-wide modernization program is almost completed - three years ahead of schedule and on budget. Both beginning teachers' salaries and the district's health insurance contribution for teachers with families have been increased by 70% while maintaining a balanced budget. Closed school site leases have been renegotiated to provide $4,000,000 in revenue. Safe school plans are in place at each school.

Continuity will be important as our district makes the transition to a new superintendent this winter. If re-elected, I promise to use my financial expertise, perspective gained from experience and best efforts to provide an outstanding education to every child in this district.
