Board Member; Gilroy Unified School District

I am a firm believer of public schools, as is my wife, who is dedicated to teaching the children of Gilroy. Because of our belief in public education and our community we invest our time and energies, knowing that our contributions will impact the future of our community. We believe that it takes an entire village to raise a child. And when a child attends public school, he experiences the full extent of the community in which he/she lives. At the same time, he is fulfilling his educational needs that prepare him for life. I strongly believe in the importance of being connected within a community, and what greater way than for children to grow and learn side by side with the families of Gilroy with supporters from within the community itself!

The success of our public schools depends on 3 essential components: Parents, Administration/Employees and the Teachers. It is the partnership between these components that will foster and harbor sound policies, curriculum and fiscal responsibility. Moreover, I strongly believe that parent involvement is the catalyst between Administration/Employees and Teachers and the success of our schools, students, families and community depend on it.
