Questions & Answers

1. What experience related to city government would you bring to the City Council?

-My education: Civil and Industrial Eng'g, MBA, Leadership for 21st Century - Harvard U, Communications Academy, UCLA, Honorary Doctorate degree in Humanities
-My leadership skills - brought significant accomplishment to Milpitas; our projects include new library, new senior center, new senior housing, county clinic, traffic and transportation improvements, economic development plan,preservation of the hillside, etc.
-My character and public service record : citizen of the year, character award, supported ethics in government, numerous awards( see listing),no behind the door 'deals', no support for special interest groups not serving our City.

2. What concerns are of particular importance to the city and how would you address them?

- Business and city economy for jobs and economic growth + continue implement the Economic Development Plan, business incentives, full business support and services
- Excellence in Education + provide increased support to the School District with more after school programs, youth and parents educational and recreational support, new Library, others
-Quality of life : establish financial priorities for citizen programs, low crime rate, hillside and neighborhood preservation, Ethics in government, full city services, financial stability for the city, adequate housing supply, improved traffic and transportation facilities, more public facilities, others

3. How would you balance the needs of the City as a whole with groups' interests?

City's interest and needs will always come first before any group's interest that does not benefit the city and its residents. I do not support special interest groups who do not truly serve our city now and in the years to come.
