Our district is currently experiencing a phenomenal rate of increased student achievement that is attributed to the vision, leadership, teamwork, and sheer dedication of our outstanding students, teachers, parents, and administrators. My major focus will be on improving student achievement for all student subgroups including Hispanics, English learners, socio-economically disadvantaged students, and students with special needs.I will fully support the implementation of a rigorous, standards-based curriculum in all content areas to ensure academic success of all students. I will be involved in the development, review, and implementation of all district wide initiatives and action plans. The development of our Goals and Objectives regarding how our students learn, demographic data, identifying professional development needs of teachers, identifying educational needs of all student subgroups, preparation and retention of our teaching staff, fiscal responsibility and overall program implementation and evaluation. I will help pave the way for all students to make plans for succeeding in high school, to think about which colleges they will attend and ponder possible career paths. I will help create an environment which fosters mutual trust, respect and openess with our employees, parents and community. |
