I am strongly committed to making Santa Clara an even better place to live, work, play and raise a family. My heart is in our City. As a fifth generation Santa Claran and graduate of Santa Clara University, I've dedicated myself to improving the lives of Santa Clara families- as a 10 year Santa Clara High School teacher, community volunteer and Santa Clara City Councilmember.

As a leader on the City Council, I've helped improve our quality of life- opening the new Central Park Library, expanding our Senior Center, building new parks and trails, creating affordable home ownership, preserving our annual Clean Up Days and keeping Santa Clara's utility rates the lowest in the Bay Area.

I have worked to keep Santa Clara fiscally sound and healthy- balancing four consecutive budgets, strengthening our business climate, improving our schools and expanding Santa Clara's Ethics program. In the next 4 years, I will continue this path.

Keep Santa Clara moving in the right direction. Please join Congressman Mike Honda, State Senator Elaine Alquist, Mayor Patricia Mahan, Sheriff Laurie Smith, former Superintendent Don Callejon, Santa Clara's Police Officers and Firefighters, and more than 150 Santa Clara elected officials and commissioners.
