Candidate for
Council Member; City of Morgan Hill

I'm Chris Borello, age 25. I've been a resident of Morgan Hill my entire life and am looking forward to the opportunity of representing the great City of Morgan Hill as a City Councilperson. Currently I am employed at South County Realty, one of the oldest real estate offices in town. During my tenure as a Realtor I've become deeply interested in our local politics. I have been working as a Realtor for the past 2.5 years and enjoy helping people complete their dreams of home ownership.

Before joining the team at South County Realty I attended San Jose State University where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a focus in Practical Politics. I also minored in Urban and Regional Planning. My professors are all very excited about my bid for a City Council seat and are in support of my pursuit of elected office. While attending San Jose State University I was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. As a brother of the fraternity I completed numerous community service projects, and helped to raise funds for local charities.

During my schooling I worked for my father at Borello Farms. Our ranch is located at the base of Anderson Dam in Morgan Hill. My family has been farming in Morgan Hill for the past 45 years and looks forward to many more bountiful harvests. During my time at the family farm I truly learned what hard work was and I'll never look at it the same way. Farming taught me lessons that only sweat and long hours of hard work can accomplish.

I recently married my high school sweetheart; she was born and raised in San Jose. We dated for over seven years and on September 17th 2005, we celebrated our love for each other with two hundred of our closet friends and family. The day I married my wife Mary, was the happiest day of my life, to date! She is a wonderful and supporting wife who is very excited about my campaign. Mary is an oral surgeon's assistant in Los Gatos and enjoys working in the health sector. We have two awesome pets, Charlie our Golden Retriever and Cesar our Himalayan. We tell everybody that these are our kids!

I'm looking forward to the opportunity of serving the people of Morgan Hill and will represent them to the fullest. I strongly believe in fiscal responsibility and believe that I am the voice of reason and change that the City needs.
