- Fiscal Solvency Crisis in the SB Elementary District
-
I call for a fiscal solvency audit of the SB Elementary District with an eye toward closing a school.
- Workforce Housing on School Land in Eastern Goleta and Hidden Valley
-
"Revenue enhancement" has become a mantra at the SB School District. It is code for making money from high-density real estate development on district lands. My view is that the District should have the discipline to live within its means, as the vast majority of school districts do.
- Classrooms v. Swimming Pools: Misplaced Priorities
-
Luxury swimming pools at two high schools are costing the District over $8.3 million. $6 million of that came from funds, which should have been used for new permanent classrooms, for refurbishment and for modernization.
