Making Carpinteria Even Better

By Gregory Gandrud

Candidate for Council Member; City of Carpinteria

This information is provided by the candidate
I have been proud to represent Carpinteria as a Councilmember these past four years.

As a professional accountant, I have reviewed 18 years of City budgets and I have served as your watch-dog on financial matters to insure that funds are spent wisely.

I have been proud to represent Carpinteria as a Councilmember these past four years.    As a professional accountant, I have reviewed 18 years of City budgets and I have served as your watch-dog on financial matters to insure that funds are spent wisely.   We need to move forward together to find solutions for:
  • TRANSPORTATION
  • PUBLIC SAFETY
  • CLEAN CREEKS AND BEACHES
  • YOUTH RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES

There has been an increase in gang activity and graffiti, we must stop it NOW. We will work with school districts and law enforcement to turn this trend around.   We must work aggressively to bring about the funding needed for WIDENING HIGHWAY 101 and create a modernized circulation element to reduce city-wide congestion. At my own expense, I have traveled twice to Washington DC and lobbied federal and state transportation agencies to jump-start construction.   I pledge to you that I will work hard to protect and enhance our quality of life and give you, the voter, the best bang for your tax dollars from our $11,493,543 budget.

Please cast a vote to RE-ELECT me to our Carpinteria City Council.  Thank you for your trust and support.

GREGORY GANDRUD
