Candidate for
Director; Cordova Recreation and Park District

As a third grader laying sod at Cordova Villa Elementary School, my father at my side taught me the importance of community service. During twenty-five Christmas seasons raising money for the Salvation Army, my mother taught me the importance of giving to others.

The values my parents instilled in me guide me to this day. I am running for the Cordova Recreation and Park District Board because I care about this community. Children and teenagers want to use our parks, but they need programs to help them do so. Families want to use our parks, but they need to feel safe while they are there.

Our parks can be so much more! All of our parks should be safe gathering places that strengthen our sense of community and serve our families. Through volunteer resources and community networking, we can revitalize, improve, and expand our parks.

Elect me to the Parks and Recreation Board, and make our parks safer, more enjoyable, and more affordable.
