Teacher Recruitment and RetentionBy Willie ArmstrongCandidate for Board Member; Natomas Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Our future depends on our teachers. NUSD must do more to keep the experienced and trained teachers it already has by improving its peer support and training programs. I will also encourage NUSD to provide regionally competitive salaries and benefits that recognize teachers as the professionals they are. I will urge the Board to expand its teacher recruitment efforts to include participating in programs such as "Troops to Teachers," which trains military veterans to become school teachers. |
