It takes the efforts of our entire community to make MVUSD successful!Every child is entitled to the "American Dream" and I want to make dreams come true! Hi, I am Jamie "Jai" Washington + Cubit and I truly believe in the "American Dream". All children have some kind of dream, hope, or goal for their life. As a MVUSD Trustee, I will work diligently to ensure that every child has the opportunity to achieve success. Success for some may be having a 4.0 GPA then going to an Ivy League school; for others it could be going to a trade school to learn how to become an auto mechanic or a hair stylist; then there are some who simply want to get out of high school and get a job - any job. All dreams are attainable and encouraged. There is no such thing as a small dream. My proudest profession is that of a mom and secondly, a school volunteer. I realize that people vary and so should the educational process. Our children should be view and treated as individuals rather than lumped together. Test scores and budgets are very important to the maintaining of a school district. However, student achievement is the most crucial component along with the morale of our district; test scores cannot always measure that! I will not be an inaccessible Trustee, but rather one who can and will visit school, rolling up my sleeves ready to work. I am INTERACTIVE and PROACTIVE! If MVUDS is going to become the greatest school district in Riverside County and California, then it is going to take the efforts of school staff, parents, and community coming together to work for the over all good of every student, regardless of race, creed, color, ethnicity, or sex! It's going to take accountability on all of the above mentioned groups - true accountability and respect for each and every position. Truly there is no "I" in team! We are a team, a winning team. We must embrace our diversely rich community allowing everyone involved a chance to expand and grow. I want to make that happen. Together we can create a safe learning enriched environment for all students. So on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 cast your vote for the candidate who keeps it real and stands firm on the knowledge that "Kids come first"! Vote for me, Jamie "Jai" Washington - Cubit. |
