MAJOR NEAR-TERM OBJECTIVES FOR THE DISTRICT:

• Enhancing instructional effectiveness in all classrooms

• Meeting the academic and vocational needs of the diverse student population

• Completing the school modernization projects approved by the voters, and construction of the new La Sierra and La Vista High School building, on time and on budget

• Planning and managing for the expected changes in student enrollment and education funding

• Expanding communications with all stakeholders

• Preparing educationally challenged students to reach their highest potential
