Born in Santa Ana, Fortino "Tino" Rivera is the youngest of seven children born to Pedro Pablo and Maria Luisa Rivera. Raised on biblical values and principles, Tino has established himself as a leader of genuine conviction for his city.

Tino married his high school sweetheart Bertha Cortes and have been happily married for 25 years. Tino and Bertha have 3 children, Fortino Rivera Jr., David Rivera and Veronica Hernandez. The Rivera family has lived in the Wilshire Square neighborhood for over twenty years.

Tino attended the following Santa Ana public Schools; Monte Vista Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Spurgeon Intermediate, Santa Ana High School, Santa Ana College, has lived in Santa Ana all of his life and was a standout athlete being selected as an Orange County Register All-County football player.

Tino is a Santa Ana Business Owner and has traveled the world for over 15 years holding various Sales and Marketing positions.

Tino has been an active leader in our community for twenty years serving on a variety of boards and organizations such as; Santa Ana Chamber (Santa Ana Chamber Political Action Committee), Central Coast YMCA Board of Directors, Landmark Services Board Member, City of Santa Ana, Parks and Recreation Commissioner, Leadership Santa Ana (Inaugural Class), Santa Ana Unified School District, Ad Hoc and Blue Ribbon Committee Member, Hispanic Development Council Leadership Training, Century H.S., Booster President, City of Santa Ana Volunteer Coach, Goodwill Industries Volunteer Chaplain and Santa Ana Jaycees Board Member.
