Candidate for
Trustee; Orange Unified School District; Trustee Area 5

I have been a resident in the Orange Unified School District area for over 40 years. I attended Orange Unified Schools in elementary, middle and high school. I graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I worked as a Registered Nurse at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.

I have been married for 23 years. I have three children, two of whom attend Orange Unified schools, one of whom recently graduated from Orange Unified School District schools.

Since being elected five years ago, I have served as Clerk and Vice President of the Board of Education, and I am currently the President. I am also President of the Orange Public Library Foundation, and I serve as an officer on the Executive Board of the Chapman Hills PTA, El Modena High School PTSA, and the Orange Community Council PTA. I also hold an Executive Board position with the 4th District PTA. I am a graduate of the Orange Chamber of Commerce Leadership Orange Program, Class of 2001, and I have served as a member of the Orange Unified School District Legislative Coalition, prior to being elected to the Board of Education.
