Candidate for
Council Member; City of Mission Viejo

It has been an honor to serve you on the City Council for the past four years, and I hope, with your support, to continue to strengthen and improve the quality of life for all of the residents of Mission Viejo.

The recent City of Mission Viejo official survey, conducted by True North Research, revealed that 99% of our residents believe our quality of life is excellent or good. I have a proven track record and the experience necessary to continue protect and expand the quality of life for our City.

My re-election will provide a continuation of the leadership and policies that have maintained Mission Viejo's enviable position as California's safest city for the past four years. Under my leadership, we have increased the City's reserves to approximately $37 million as a result of fiscally conservative policies while expanding city services to seniors, young people and residents. I have spearheaded the efforts to enlarge the Murray Community and Senior Center (currently underway) as well as the renovations of the Montanoso and Sierra recreation centers. I have promoted past and future road widenings to alleviate traffic congestion and initiated the effort to provide a senior transportation program--which has been budgeted as a one-year pilot program. I initiated and helped to develop the award-winning Community of Character program, which is used in our schools to impact the lives of thousands of our children.

I am a caring listener and accessible through regular office hours at City Hall, and by email and phone. I have devoted considerable effort to restore confidence, integrity and respect for the leadership of this great City.
