Political Philosophy for John G. Hoevers
Candidate for |
Most important issue is to keep the control of the city out of the hands of special interest groups. We must move forward and have elected representatives that will keep Placentia first in their priorities. We need to move forward with redevelopment, improve existing business environment and restore our financial reserves. This can only be done with a council dedicated to the interests of the city and not the wallets of a few special interest groups. My goals would be to establish a viable downtown redevelopment plan which uses no public funding. Provide incentives to attract new businesses back into this city. Prevent rezoning of commercial areas to residential. Pursue a development plan which enhances commercial areas around the over crossings and under passes. I hope to restore the city's financial well being to a point where we can eliminate the city's utility tax. |
