My goal is to make our schools work for every student, from the GATE identified to the struggling.As you may know, I have chosen to run for re-election to the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Board of Education. As a board member, I have been constantly enthused and inspired by the thousands of students who depend upon the community, and more specifically, the schools to help prepare them to be ready to enter the larger world upon graduation. I myself am a product of public education and received an excellent foundation for my eventual college experience at UCI. I strongly and passionately believe in public education and civic involvement. I can think of no better way to blend both and do my utmost to advocate for the best education possible for the children we serve. My goal is to make our schools work for every student, from the GATE identified to the struggling. That is a tall order, but worthwhile to pursue. While maintaining our excellent core curriculum, I plan to focus on:
I have always predicated my actions on "What's good for kids". No other philosophy is more fundamental and meaningful to me than that. |
