Board Member; Laguna Beach Unified School District

I have proven professional experience in driving an organization to success. I will bring to the Board my business skills to ensure we continue and enhance our schools' successes.

Efficiency is a revenue stream. The measure of success is not the size of the budget, but what is accomplished. I will get more from each dollar by finding synergies to maximize our programs.

I will bring unique business skill to the Board. I earned a living owning, designing, building and operating $1 Billion of property in New York City. I delivered quick, simple solutions to complex problems under budge and on time.

I understand our District. I have served as a volunteer in our classrooms, on the SchoolPower Endowment Foundation and as a member of the Citizen's Oversight Program.

I am 110% committed to maintaining the standards of excellence now achieved.

At Children's Hospital of Orange County & Mission, where I have been a director for the past 7 years, we take great pride in our business being ranked by the Orange County Register as the `best place to work' and `best place to volunteer' in Orange County. In my business career I developed success through finding the win-win solution to any situation that gave all parties a great motivation to work together for a mutually successful outcome. This approach enabled me to keep projects moving ahead and never getting bogged down in indecision. It is the responsibility of leadership to lead and most significantly to lead in a timely manner. A great solution that misses the timing mark is less likely to succeed.

I am not a politician, nor is this a political office.

There is no monetary compensation. My agenda is very simple- to see that our community has the best schools possible for many years to come. School Board Directorship is an office to be filled by dedicated residents intent on serving the children of this community. I am such a candidate and I intend to do my very best to see that I bring credit to the trust you place in me. I am a very straightforward, clear headed, no nonsense person who takes pride in my community, my family and my work. I am first and foremost a problem solver. I would bring balance to the representation on the board with my background in business. I am open-minded and look forward to the challenges ahead.
