Alhambra -- A City Poised for the 21st CenturyBy Stephen K. ShamCandidate for City Council Member; City of Alhambra; District 1 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I believe Alhambra's greatest treasure is our community and residents, and I am proud that the City places an emphasis on making Alhambra a great place to live, work, and play. Alhambra is the gateway to the San Gabriel Valley, and I believe the direction it has taken regarding residential design guidelines and commercial redevelopment will continue to make it a more desirable home for both residents and small businesses. The revitalization of Downtown Alhambra will create more quality jobs in both the commercial and retail segments. As Alhambra evolves as a vibrant city poised for the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century, I will continue to represent its citizens with my experience and leadership. Alhambra is my home, and I've displayed my commitment to the City with years of service in many of our vital civic and service organizations. |
