Candidate for
Board Member; Rosedale Union School District

Hi I'm Barbara Mettler and I would like to serve on the board of trustees for the Rosedale Union School District. I have been an active parent volunteer for the district for the past 12 1/2 years and I have devoted hundreds of hours of my time to the betterment of our kids.

I have served on the Centennial Elementary and Rosedale Middle School parent/teacher clubs as a board member and chairperson in various capacities for the past 10 years and I was also elected to the RMS School Site Council for a 2 year term.

In 1988 I graduated from California State University Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in education. I have taken and passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). As the daughter of a teacher and as a parent of a child in the district, I understand the demands on the teachers and the need for parental involvement in the learning process.
