Candidate StatementBy Terri WilliamsonCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Pleasant Hill | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Dear Neighbors, I believe you want Pleasant Hill to remain a pleasant small town, with great neighborhoods, a comfortable heart with nice shops and restaurants, excellent public services, great schools like College Park, good roads and sidewalks, with trees and landscaping everywhere. So do I! I have fought for this for all of us during my years on the City Council, currently as Mayor. Some said a vital Downtown couldn't be done without huge office buildings to provide revenue. I battled hi-rise buildings - and got what you wanted! Pleasant Hill now serves as a delightful example for other small towns whose residents don't want to cave in to developer's pressure. I have lived in Pleasant Hill for thirty years and raised my two daughters here. I am intelligent, thoughtful, and well-informed about City matters. I have the guts to stand up for what is fair and right. I never cave in to expediency. I work hard to make sure your voice is heard. I listen to YOU, not special interests. I want to continue to serve you on the Council to see things done right, and to make sure Pleasant Hill remains pleasant. I would be honored to have your vote on November seventh. Thank you, Terri Williamson |
