The charactor counts "Six Pillars" include trustworthiness, respect, responsbility, fairness, caring and Citizenship.

Another concern are that parents are not informed on critical matters concerning their children from the Principal, staff or District Office. My seven year old son was waiting for 40 minutes in front of his elementary school from 8:20am to 9:00am for his GATE bus to pick him up. He and one other seven year old were left unsupervised, my son without a coat on, and then at 9:00am they were told to go back to their classes. No explanation, no apology to my son, and I was never called. This happened during "Charactor Counts" week. The Principal would not answer my question as to why I wasn't called and why my son was not supervised. Nor would he accept any responsibility in the matter. Thankfully, my son was not kidnapped, although he did contact a sinus infection. The Principal didn't show the six pillars of ethical behavior, yet that is what they are teaching. Is it do as I say, but not as I do!?!
