While there are many top issues facing our growing community, such as economic growth and infrastructure development, a balance of jobs vs.
housing, and traffic, I believe that currently the economic development and community planning is at the forefront and a top priority for Discovery Bay.
The county has only provided patchwork planning for Discovery Bay, we now need to knit it together and advocate for our future. We cannot simply exist on housing alone; we need to work hard towards building an inclusive community. We need a community center, increased retail businesses and job creation. It is time to identify what our community desires and support proper planning and development which will result in an improvement in all community services, amenities and enhancing our quality of life.
