|
John T. Nejedly lives with his wife Katie, an elementary school teacher, and three children Kathleen, Kristina and John Christian in Danville. John is the owner of Nejedly Corporation, a general engineering contracting company he founded in 1995. After graduating from Cal-Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Construction Management, John completed his education at John F. Kennedy University school of law where he received his law degree. During John's tenure as Trustee for the Contra Costa Community College district he has been elected Board President three times and has striven to represent all constituents in the decision making process. John has worked hard to keep our community college system sensitive to the needs of the entire community including new high school graduates, transfer students and our local businesses. John has worked hard to secure available state funds to build and improve college facilities as well as raise local matching funds to modernize existing facilities and construct new classrooms to meet today's modern technology. Under John's leadership, Diablo Valley College, Contra Costa College and Los Medanos College have newly constructed class rooms and labs. In addition, this fall the San Ramon Campus will officially open in the Dougherty Valley. This facility was constructed on donated lands with a joint use library and community center as a result of many years of planning and coordination between the Contra Costa Community College District, city officials and local developers. Working closely with many local and statewide elected officials and representatives, John has raised awareness of many issues facing the Contra Costa Community College District. John has worked hard to secure a permanent Community College campus in both San Ramon and Brentwood while supporting over 300 businesses in Contra Costa County. Let's keep John T. Nejedly working for us and our Community Colleges. |
