Residents of Driftwood Drive area are upset that Ambrose Recreation & Park District Directors have not solved the problems.
After attending a meeting at Calvary Temple in August to address the Driftwood Drive residents concerns, the Directors still have not solved the problem. The irrigation system needs to be redesigned for the slope of the hill and the type of plants need to be specific to the soil and climate for that area. Also a maintenance schedule that can address the extra time to solve the landscaping problems until the job is completed must be implemented at once. It is time that consultation from an outside resource specific to landscaping be scheduled. It is very frustrating to residents that this area has not been taken care of. If the Ambrose District cannot do all the work themselves they should spend the money to get it taken care of with any more delay.
We are proud of our wonderful community, Bay Point, and we don't appreciate those responsible for taking care of this to drag their feet and piecemeal the situation. Get it solved NOW!
The idea of giving back the Driftwood Drive area to the County is passing the buck and taking the easy way out. Money that we have already paid needs to be redirected to this Emergency Situation. The residents deserve our best efforts and creative ways to bring back curb appeal.
